Behind the ‘Bikepark Navigator’ lies the usual MTB madness from next door: I’m Marc and I’ve been mountain biking for quite a while now. For me, mountain biking is a way of life. On the one hand, there’s that certain element of risk, but on the other, there are also its very own, incredibly brilliant attractions: you’re out in nature, constantly putting yourself to challenges, pushing your own limits and having to overcome that famous inner demon time and time again. The combination of technique, passion, nature and – last, but certainly not least – this amazing MTB community is almost unbeatable! But I can no longer imagine life without my bikes.

The idea for this app came to me last year. What followed was planning, research and thinking about which platform would be best suited to bringing something like this to life, along with setbacks and problems that just wouldn’t go away. You often hit dead ends, turn back, find new paths – and eventually you find yourself standing on your dream trail. Let’s do it!

Why all this? I don’t understand the question 😉 In life, you don’t regret the things you’ve done, but the things you haven’t done. And the MTB community I mentioned at the start is, in my opinion, absolutely unique: I’ve never come across a situation where people here don’t help and support one another. I’ve experienced it countless times on the trails: as soon as you meet someone who’s just as mad as you are, there’s always an invisible but clearly palpable connection – that’s just the way it is! And I love it!

With this little project, I wanted to give you something that would make your MTB life easier and more rewarding. All (or almost all) parks across Europe in one app – easy to use, no frills and no hidden catches. Just pure, simple, authentic – built with love. The focus is clearly on bike and trail parks, but I’m definitely open to any worthwhile destinations. Send me anything you find that you think belongs here. We’re nowhere near finished yet – I’ve still got loads of ideas!

And finally: we can and should all work together to maintain and expand this tool. This is where you come in – send me any new information and/or parks, and let me know about any bugs or errors. I’ll do my best to keep everyone and everything in mind. After all, we’re only just getting started!
